(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry says her album reflects her sincere side.

The 26-year-old singer is famed for her quirky fashion sense and bubblegum pop anthems, including I Kissed a Girl and California Gurls. The star has insisted that her album enables her to showcase her serious side as well as her silly one.

I feel like I am doing something really purposeful, especially [certain] tracks like. Im so happy that I finally could show this side, she told Company magazine. I am a silly, goofy girl, but when its time to be sincere, if someone needs something from me, Ill be there.

The American beauty says her most memorable gig was at the MTV European Music Awards. She says she felt overwhelmed at the sheer amount of people who had turned up at the venue to watch her.

One that was really moving to me was the performance at the European Music Awards in the square in Madrid, with 100,000 people outside watching me. That was just such a powerful feeling. I mean, 100,000 people, all there in person! she gushed. Thats such an amazing feeling to see that kind of support and hear people singing along. It was in this beautiful, very monumental place where there had never been a performance before. (C) Cover Media
