September 6, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The US singer, engaged to British comedian Russell Brand has been planning to apply for a dual citizenship after her marriage as she feels that England is a place with which she can relate to.

Russell Brand and Katy are scheduled to be married next month; she wishes to apply for a dual citizenship as soon as possible. She further claims that England is like the second home to her.

Katy says she loves the UK, there's another reason as to why she wants to become a UK citizen. She had earlier joked to Alan Carr; the popular UK TV talk show host regarding British visas and other such customs.

In the meantime it has been exposed that Katy is very close to Russell's mom Barbara and that she has already started to call her mum. It has been revealed that the two are constantly in touch with each other and have established a fascinating rapport.

Mrs. Brand has reportedly, introduced her to the British way of life, and the two try and see each other as much as possible.

Katy also buys presents for Barbara from all over the world when she's working. Here's wishing the 25 year old singer to have a jolly good time in England.
