Right from the inception in 2009 October the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy has been doing various progressive activities. The one at Vishwa Kannada Sammelana in Belagavi it had organized week long film festival of 100 Kannada movies, held seminar on three important topics, set up an exhibition on the national and international personalities from Kannada cinema. KCA chairman TS Nagabharana, members Maruthi, Chindu Bangaresh, MN Vyasa Rao were involved in this success that was well supported by senior journalist BN Subramanya. The KCA holding 100 plus Kannada cinemas in all the taluks of Belgavi and in 16 theatres of Belgavi was not an ordinary task.
