The American singer is renowned for being outspoken, and is happy to discuss all aspects of her life. The star admits she looks for unusual qualities when trying to find a partner, with clean-cut gents completely off her list.

Like, a big bearded guy with a bag of quarters. I think it's some weird pirate fantasy that was unfulfilled in a past lifetime, she said, when asked what sort of man shes attracted to. I like the rugged, mountain-man beard, personally. I won't discriminate, but my favourite kind of beard is one that could potentially be a homeless beard. Like, you actually have to discover if they're un-groomed for a reason. I like a really unkempt beard.

Ke$ha has become friends with Barbados-born singer Rihanna since supporting her on her Last Girl on Earth Tour. The star doesnt mind being compared to Rihanna or Lady Gaga, taking it as a compliment rather than as something to get annoyed by. She also finds it funny, as the two are so different.

I actually think that's cool, she told Complex magazine. Out of that group of chicks, I'm the new b***h on the block, so I'm still getting used to being compared to some of the biggest pop stars in the world, but I don't take any offense to it. That just means people know my records.

Ke$ha is known for her unusual fashion choices, often wearing huge eyelashes and pieces which are totally mismatched or clash. The star insists most of the time she means to look the way she does, as shes commenting on peoples pre-conceived ideas about her.

The star wore an outfit made of garbage bags to an event this year, which she loved. I like to poke fun at when people make fun of me, because I don't take myself that seriously.
