(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Keira Knightley is engaged.

The British actress is due to walk down the aisle with her rocker beau James Righton. Keira's spokesperson acknowledged the happy news in a statement today, although declined to comment further.

"I can confirm that Keira is engaged to be married to James Righton," the representative said.

Keira and James began dating last February, after being introduced by mutual friend Alexa Chung. They have since kept their 15-month relationship largely out of the public eye, and have rarely been photographed together.

They moved into a London home together in February this year.

Keira, 27, has previously dated actor Jamie Dornan and enjoyed a five-year relationship with her Pride & Prejudice co-star Rupert Friend.

Keira has previously explained what kind of partner she is.

"I'm an artistic type; I'm temperamental, so does that mean I can go quite deep? Yes, of course it does," she said. "But I've never been married, so that's a whole different level." (C) Cover Media
