Kelsey Grammer: I will not star on reality TV

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelsey Grammer insists he won't subject his family to being on reality television.

The 56-year-old actor is currently embroiled in a custody battle with his ex-wife Camille Grammer over their two children; six-year-old son Jude and daughter Mason, nine.

Kelsey married his current partner Kayte Walsh at the end of February, just over two weeks after his divorce to Camille was finalised.

The star says he wants to keep his family life as private as possible. Camille, 42, stars on the hit Bravo series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Kelsey has revealed that living a life in front of cameras is not to his taste.

"I made a conscious decision that I wouldn't play out my personal life in front of the cameras," he told Life & Style at the Tony Awards in NYC on June 12. "That's just respectful for the situation and respectful to Kayte, as well."

According to reports, Kelsey wants primary custody of son Jude, while daughter Mason would remain in Los Angeles with her mother. The American comedian, who is best known for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane in the NBC sitcoms Cheers and Frasier, says that he is preparing himself for a bumpy ride.

"It's going to be a long, drawn-out thing," he explained. "We'll be tortured and it will be unpleasant I'm sure, but not on my side."

Kelsey doesn't know whether he will ever be on good terms with his ex-wife again. However, the star says his primary concern will always be his children.

"I'm not going to say much about that, but I'm going to do my best to make sure my kids are always okay," he added. (C) Cover Media
