Kristen Stewart is happy to have leapt into shooting her newest movie.

Kristen is cast as the leading lady in upcoming fantasy feature Snow White and the Huntsman. The 21-year-old actress wrapped up filming on the final two instalments of the Twilight series in July and began shooting her role as Snow White soon thereafter.

Kristen does not believe that jumping into a new project so quickly adversely affected her professional performance.

"Obviously everyone thinks it's a kind of rush to do it," Kristen told People magazine at The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 red carpet premiere in Los Angeles this week. "But it was good timing; I had a little bit of time off in between filming Breaking Dawn and Snow White. It was good."

Kristen has had ample time to bond with her castmates. She is thoroughly enjoying the company on set.

"I've had the most indulgent experience on Snow White and the Huntsman so far," she gushed. "We had a lot of pre-production and I really got close with the director Rupert Sanders and co-star Chris Hemsworth and everything, so I'm having a great time!"

Kristen is currently promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, which will be released in theatres this weekend. Show White and the Huntsman will reach cinemas in summer 2012.
