Kristen Wiig has given a veiled indication that she may soon be leaving iconic television show Saturday Night Live.
The Bridesmaids star is enjoying a flourishing movie career leading to speculation that she will be leaving the small screen soon.
In an interview with frequent SNL guest host Alec Baldwin on his podcast show today, Kristen did not give a definite answer when asked if the show was "winding down" for her.
"Well, everyone has to leave," Kristen said resolutely. "I will say that when I do leave it's not because I'm sick of it and not because I see something better or anything like that."
"It's just that it's time. When I do leave, it will be the hardest thing. This is my seventh year and that's my family. It's my heart. It's New York to me."
Kristen quipped that she "may go back to open a canoe shop" as part of her future plans.
Us Weekly reported last week that Kristen would be leaving the show along with cast mates Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis when their contracts end later this year.
Other SNL alums like Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have gone on to have successful careers.
