Kristin Chenoweth is too ill to return to her post on The Good Wife.
The 44-year-old actress was on the Brooklyn set of the US TV show in July when she was struck by a piece of lighting equipment. She was rushed to hospital after collapsing and has since been recovering at home.
Kristin is sad that she has to leave the programme.
"It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife," Kristin told People magazine.
"[I'm] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern."
The day she sustained the injuries Kristin stayed overnight in hospital.
Kristin has taken to Twitter periodically over the past few weeks to let fans know how she's recuperating.
"Today not best pain' day. Remaining positive. (I think) (sic)," she tweeted last week.
Although Kristin won't be returning to the cast, she will appear on the season premiere of The Good Wife that will air on September 30.
