(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leighton Meester's friends "shut their ears" when she sings along to Cline Dion.

The 25-year-old shot to fame playing Blair Waldorf on hit television show Gossip Girl. As well as being a talented actress she's also a singer and has recorded songs in the past. Music means a lot to her, and she's revealed one of her favourite artists is ballad queen Cline.

"I know every word to her songs," she laughed. "The other day, I was in the car and I was belting it out; my friends had to shut their ears."

Julieta Venegas, the Mexican-American Spanish language rock-and-pop songstress, is another of her favourites.

"Spanish music is so relaxing," she sighed, "even though I can't understand what they are saying."

Leighton has other interests too. She enjoys relaxing when she isn't at work, and has been known to feast on her favourite foods while kicking back in front of the television.

"The last time I was in London, I ordered a basket of scones and ate about 30 of them, with clotted cream and jam, in two days," she told Marie Claire magazine, adding she loves American show True Blood. "It's so dark, sexy and campy. I would hate to star in it because it would lose all the fantasy."

Leighton's newest movie, Monte Carlo, will be released later this year. (C) Cover Media
