Leonardo DiCaprio was "like a Siamese cat" when filming Titanic.
According to the movie's director James Cameron, Leonardo made a big fuss shooting scenes where he was in water. The Hollywood actor was unhappy when he had to get wet, which unfortunately made up a vast amount of Titanic's plot.
"Leo was like a Siamese cat trying to get into the water. He made a huge production of it every time," James laughed at the launch of the 3D Blu-Ray DVD of Titanic.
"The water could be 80 degrees but he hated to get wet or he pretended he hated to get wet."
The respected director claims Leonardo may have been exaggerating his fear of water.
James put up with the actor's moaning throughout the filming of the 1997 blockbuster film. That was until his lead star revealed he was an experienced swimmer.
"It turned out on the last day of shooting, we had to do an underwater scene and he said, I'm a certified scuba diver," James laughed. "What was all this stuff with the cat and getting into the water? I wanted to wring his neck."
