Lindsay Lohan 'denies hit and run'

14th March 2012

Lindsay Lohan is "adamant" she did not hit anyone while driving following an incident outside a club this week.

The 25-year-old actress was accused of grazing the knee of a bar manager while leaving Sayers Club in Hollywood on Wednesday night at the wheel of her black Porsche.

A police spokesperson said that there was "no evidence of a crime or a hit and run" but the alleged victim went to hospital and is apparently planning on pressing charges.

The Mean Girls star has told friends that she did nothing wrong and is "freaking out" that this may affect her being taking off formal probation in two weeks time.

"Lindsay is adamant that she absolutely didn't hit anyone while she was driving," a source told RadarOnline adding that the troubled starlet was 100% sober at the time.

"Lindsay is extremely upset that there would be speculation she would ditch the scene of a potential crime scene. She is days away from being taken off formal probation.

"Lindsay has talked to her attorney Shawn Holley, who has subsequently reached out to cops from the LAPD Hollywood division. Would it make sense for Lindsay to flee the scene with tons of paparazzi? No, she wouldn't have done that if there was a remote possibility she had hit someone."

Although sources at the scene said the manger claimed to fine immediately after the incident he is now "claiming that he is having trouble walking, and that Lindsay ran over his foot."

He is now said to be in the process of filing a police report.

Lindsay is due before Judge Stephanie Sautner on March 29 for her final progress report but if she is found to be in violation of her probation her legal woes could start all over again and she could be sent to jail.
