(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mario Lopez has penned a new children's book that will be released this fall.

The former Saved By the Bell star, Broadway actor and fitness expert has been quietly writing his first children's book for several months.

Entitled Mario and Baby Gia, the tome is a dedication to his beloved daughter Gia Francesca, whom he bore with his girlfriend Courtney Mazza in September last year.

Mario is elated to be a father, but since he cannot change diapers as well as he can write, he decided to pen a book for his baby muse.

"I changed Gia's diapers ONCE and I put it on the wrong way," Mario told HollyBaby.

"I am so in love with her. I love [being a dad] more than anything. I can't wait to have more!"

A fresh father at the age of 37, Mario has been off-Broadway and settling comfortably into life as a dad since Gia's birth. He relishes fatherhood and wants to focus on it as much as possible.

"I absolutely can't wait to get home to see [my daughter Gia] she's so amazing," said Mario. "The whole experience is so amazing."

Mario and Baby Gia will be released by Celebra Children's Books, a division of Penguin USA, at the end of September. Mario's previous publication credits include health and fitness related titles such as Knockout Fitness, Extra Lean and Extra Lean Life. (C) Cover Media
