The Rajakumar Cup Cricket Tournament, held last month in Davanagere, to raise funds for the Dancers Association of Kannada Cinema, is now under the spotlight. Apparently match fixing had taken place with the umpire!

When Kichcha Sudeep, representing the Artists Association, was playing, he was run out for 20 runs, thanks for a straight throw from fielder Raghu Jairam. The umpire did not consider the run out. Sudeep stayed at the centre. The match resumed and Sudeep scored 95 runs and his team also lifted the Rajakumar Cup.

When the other team questioned the umpire for his bad decision, the answer came straight from the umpire – 'if you are playing, who will watch the match? It is only when Sudeep is playing, that the audience will be watching the match!'
