The actor knows his surname confuses a lot of people and hates it when friends or fans stumble across the word. To help them out hes come with an usual way to get the enunciation correct, which includes the name of another famous star.

It wasnt just his surname which the 41-year-olds school friends had trouble saying. The actor explained his mother has always been strict about nicknames and doesnt like to hear him called another other than his full name.

My mother doesn't allow Matt, he told Extra.

Matthew is currently promoting his movie The Lincoln Lawyer, which also stars Ryan Phillippe. Matthew plays attorney Mick Haller, while Ryan is Louis Roulet, the man he is defending. Mick conducts his business from a Lincoln town car, and Matthew had a lot of fun shooting.

He has kids Levis, two, and 14-month-old Vida with his partner Camila Alves, and both tots enjoyed visiting him on set.
