'Mayagadu', a film starring Charmi and Venu in lead roles, is gearing up for a release on July 15th. Produced by Ravichand Yalamanchi under Sambasiva Creations' banner, the film is directed by Dilip Polan.

Says Venu, who is happy about the movie, "After a long time my movie is releasing (his last release was 'Gopi, Gopika, Godavari', a couple of years back). I am happy with the outcome of this film. It is a story of a village youngster who comes to the city with an intention of cheating people and surviving here."

Dilip Polan said that Charmi`s characterisation is going to be a big highlight of the movie. "She has given her best to 'Mayagadu'. It will be an important movie in her career," he said. The music is scored by Chakri. Ali, AVS, Gowtham Raju, Ravibabu and Satyakrishna have acted in this film. "There are a lot of twists and turns in the script. Chakri has come out with beautiful songs which would strike an instant chord with the audience," says the director.
