(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Meryl Streep's actress daughter admits being compared to the Oscar-winner makes her "crazy".

Mammie Gummer made her movie debut as her Meryl's onscreen daughter in 1986 film Heartburn.

She's since carved out a career of her own, and now stars in US TV dramedy Emily Owns, M.D.

Although the 29-year-old admits it's easy to see similarities between the pair, she insists they couldn't be more different.

"We look and sound alike. But I can't get too hung up on that. That would make anyone crazy," Mammie told USA Today.

The budding star says her mother has breathed rarefied air as one of Hollywood's most revered actresses.

And she doesn't expect to share such an "extraordinary" experience.

"She's had a lot of choices," Mammie said, resolving, "I don't think I could possibly be compared to her."

Mammie is Meryl's daughter with husband Don Gummer.
