(Cover) - EN Movies - Michael Bay admits he was "intimidated" by John Malkovich on his first day of filming.
The American film director-and-producer is the man behind the Transformer franchise including the third film Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is due for release later this month.
John appears as Bruce in the film, Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky's first boss.
Michael has confessed he was unsure of how he would get along with the veteran actor prior to filming.
"He is fun. I didn't know how he would be on the first day I was intimidated but he was a great guy, very able to try anything, and very available," he explained in an interview with SciFi Now. "He's very concerned of how he's doing. He was like, How was that? Was that good?'"
Michael insists he is aware of how children will react to the death scenes in the science fiction movies. The 46-year-old says kids get attached to the characters easily, so he bears this in mind when directing the more sensitive scenes.
"It's tough they do get very attached. When I tested it, it's cute how these little kids get attached. There are some pretty rough scenes in here, though, and it's different from the other movies. When the robots die, they really die," he said. (C) Cover Media
