(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Kors is getting married to his long-term partner, it has been reported.

The fashion designer, who is also a judge on US TV show Project Runway, has been dating Lance LePere since 1990. The pair met in Paris when Lance interned at Michael's French office. They have enjoyed a strong relationship ever since.

The state of New York legalised homosexual marriages at the end of June. Less than two months after this legislation passed, Michael and Lance headed to New York's City Hall. Dressed comfortably, the couple were spotted getting their marriage licence together on Wednesday.

"They were both very casually dressed," an eyewitness told Life & Style magazine. "[Michael] was really nice and let the girls at the office take his picture."

Michael and Lance are happy to formalise their union. Lance believes that they have a magnetic natural affinity for each other.

"We share a certain level of taste," Lance told New York Magazine. "Over the years and the day-to-day process of dreaming together, things just naturally fell into place."
