(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Miley Cyrus was ambushed on stage by a fan while performing at a concert in Australia.

As Miley was belting out her hit song The Climb, a young female fan stormed on to the stage in Melbourne and hurled her arm around the singer last night. Miley's security team wasted no time in pulling the fan off of the young star. Her security proved successful and the overzealous fan was dropped offstage back into the crowd.

In the midst of the chaos 18-year-old Miley screamed "Oh my G*d" twice into her microphone.

Miley was led to safety by her bodyguards as security immediately rushed her backstage.

She was left shocked by the incident, but there are no reports of injury and all parties are physically unharmed. There is also no word as to whether or not the young fan will be disciplined for her outburst.

Miley is the second young performer to get ambushed by a fan this week, as Justin Bieber had a similar experience in New York City yesterday. (C) Cover Media
