August 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The young South Indian actress Ananya, who has recently shot for the Malayalam movie Shikar, has been able to impress her on-screen father, the megastar Mohanlal. He was so impressed by her daring acts that he named her as Mollywood's Vijayashanthi.
Ananya is a budding talent in Mollywood, who has received appreciation for her work in the Tamil movie Naadodigal. The actress has reportedly performed a daring stunt in Mohanlal starrer Shikar and thus impressed him. He was very happy to see her commitment for work.
The impressing moment was the climax scene of Shikar, where Ananya was supposed to hang by a rope from a tree standing inclined over a hillside. Her on-screen father Mohanlal was to rescue her from there by risking his life. Mohanlal and the director M. Padmakumar suggested the scene to be shot with a body double. But the brave girl Ananya insisted to do the act herself as she thought it would be a big benefit for the movie.
Ananya completed the shot hanging on the rope until Mohanlal brought her from there safely. When the cinematographer Manoj Pillai confirmed the shot, Mohanlal offered her a firm handshake and gave that big compliment.
