The International Taekwondo Federation, based out of Seoul in Korea, has decided to confer a honourary blackbelt on Mohanlal, the top Kollywood and Mollywood actor.

According to Taekwondo Association of Kerala (T.A.K.E.), Mohanlal was chosen for the honour for his interest and dedication towards martial arts.

Mohanlal is already flooded with honours including Padmashree, doctorate and a coveted posting in the Indian army.

With this Taekwondo blackbelt, the actor will be the first artiste from South India to bag the honour. Circles close to him say he was happy about being selected for the blackbelt.
