(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Naomi Watts says she feels under high pressure over her role as Marilyn Monroe in an upcoming biopic.
The 42-year-old actress is one of todays most successful Hollywood actresses, and earlier this year it was announced she would play 1950s screen siren Marilyn in a new movie about her life, entitled Blonde.
Naomi is thrilled about portraying such a legendary movie star, although she admits it is rather nerve-wracking as Marilyn, who died in 1962, was so well-loved by the public.
"I don't have a plan yet on how to do it," the star is quoted as saying.
"It's going to be a huge undertaking because everyone obviously has their own idea about who she was. It's a high pressure thing to take on because of how iconic she was. But I'm just not there yet. I don't know how I'll go about it."
Fortunately Naomi still has a bit more time left to consider which direction to take her portrayal in, as filming doesnt begin until January.
The movie will detail Marilyn's life, charting her rise to becoming a worldwide sex symbol before her tragic death at the age of just 36.
It is based on US author Joyce Carol Oates 'imagined memoir' of the same name. The book caused huge controversy when it was first released ten years ago as it featured graphic sex scenes, including a raunchy encounter with a casting director. (C) Cover Media
