(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Naomi Watts admits she found it hard to return to acting after the birth of her son.

The 41-year-old was last seen on the big screen starring in 2010 thriller Fair Game. In the movie, Naomi played the role of real life spy Valerie Plame, who was thrust into a political storm after her identity was leaked.

The actress, who has two children, Alexander, three, and two-year-old Samuel, has revealed she initially found it hard to film scenes for the movie, after the serene experience of being a mother for the second time.

Id just given birth and I was in this soft, warm, maternal state, and then all of a sudden Im getting thrown on to the floor and kicked in the shins and going, Hell, that hurt! For the first few hours I was like, What on earth am I doing here, she told British newspaper the Daily Mail.

Despite her initial reservations, Naomi states she ended up falling in love with her films character. She confirmed she relished the chance to portray a strong woman on screen and revelled in the more dangerous action scenes.

One minute I was sitting there with a loaded gun and the next I was going back to my trailer to breast-feed my baby. But you know what? I really enjoyed it. I was ramming cars without wearing seatbelts or a crash helmet, and I was running around being very physical. It was scary, thrilling and when I came out I felt completely empowered, she added.
