(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ne-Yo has gotten engaged to girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.

The R&B singer confirmed the news to Us Weekly today and also shared that he is set to become a father for the second time with the boutique owner.

Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, and his longtime partner welcomed their first daughter Madilyn Grace into the world just 10 months ago.

Their second child is reportedly due as soon as this October.

The Closer singer has not announced a date for his nuptials but is said to be excited about adding to his family.

Ne-Yo, 31, was overjoyed when baby Madilyn was born last autumn and spoke about his joy.

"She's healthy and happy," he tweeted. "Feels like I'm in luv for the first time."

"Welcoming that lil' girl to the world last night defined for me what willing to kill and die for' truly means. My world, my life, all hers."

The Grammy nominated star recently held a fundraiser to benefit his charity The Compound Foundation that helps children in foster care and group homes. (C) Cover Media
