(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ne-Yo and Aaron Eckhart almost came to blows on the set of their new movie, as the R&B star didnt realise Aaron was a method actor.

The two men appear in Battle: Los Angeles together, and although Ne-Yo enjoyed the experience he admits it was hard at times. Aaron immerses himself in movie roles, meaning he often remains in character when the cameras stop rolling. Ne-Yo was unfamiliar with the idea, and found it confusing.

I didn't understand the concept of staying in character the whole time, he told ET. We almost got in a little tussle just behind me not understanding that he's still in character.

Eckhart] plays a tough guy in the film, so it was lunch and I go, 'Hey, Aaron.' And he goes, 'Leave me alone.'

Ne-Yo eventually got used to what was going on, and was blown away by Aarons dedication to his role. He learned a great deal from the star, and will think of him while shooting all subsequent movie roles.

Battle: Los Angeles follows what happens when an alien race wages war on earth. There are many action sequences in the film, and Ne-Yo found them great fun if a little tiring.

It was the most physically trying thing I've ever done in life, he laughed. It was definitely worth it because I had a lot of fun. (C) Cover Media
