The Spanish pop singer co-penned I Can Feel Your Heartbeat especially with the American former Pussycat Doll in mind.

The pair have been friends for some time and had always planned to collaborate on a hit track.

We always said we wanted to do a song together so he sent me the song and I fell in love with it, Nicole told UK programme This Morning. I called Enrique right when I heard it. I was like, Enrique this is awesome lets do it!

The music video accompanying the song is fairly raunchy, with Nicole performing some sexy dance moves in time to the tune.

But Enrique said that it would be wrong to criticise the promo for being too sexual. It is artistic, he said.

The 35-year-old star added he was over the moon about the positive reaction his new album Euphoria has received. The record includes both Spanish and English language songs.
