(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicole Scherzinger will host Americas X Factor.

The former Pussycat Doll has signed on to present Simon Cowells upcoming US version of the hit singing competition.

The songstress, who last year served as a guest judge on the UK version of the show, will be joined by British television presenter Steve Jones.

"These two are going to be great together," Simon said in a statement. "I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the UK X Factor last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented."

Nicole has forged a successful solo career since departing from sexy troup Pussycat Dolls in December of last year. The 32-year-old says she is delighted to be working alongside music mogul Simon again, and is looking forward to be sharing the stage with her Welsh co-host Steve, 34.

"I am thrilled to be asked by Simon Cowell to host The X Factor," Scherzinger also said in a statement. "I loved working alongside Simon on the U.K. show, and cannot wait to see what he has in store for the U.S. I'm so excited to work with Steve Jones and help discover astounding talent from across the country!"

L.A. Reid, Cheryl Cole and Simon will be on the judging panel. There are also reports that Paula Abdul could be the fourth judge on the highly-anticipated show.

X Factor debuts on Fox this autumn. (C) Cover Media
