No IPL dreams for Aamir

29th June 2011

Aamir Khan, a big cricket buff, is passionate about the game, both on and off screen. His cricket centric film 'Lagaan' won him the highest accolades as an actor and his regular presence at crucial India matches also adds credit to his cricket mania. The actor though, unlike other Bollywood stars, has no plans to dabble in the business of cricket.

Aamir says he has no plans to buy an Indian Premier League team, instead he prefers to indulge in cinema. His arch rival Shahrukh Khan and co-star Preity Zinta were the pioneers to kick start the trend that was followed by Shilpa Shetty, who too like SRK and Preity, now owns an IPL team. Apart from Aamir's contemporaries and his co-stars, his best friend Salman too tried to be a part of IPL in past but Salman refused to shed the billions and had withdrawn from the bidding process in mid-way.

It seems that Aamir has decided to take a page out his friends book and stay away from the lure of the IPL.
