Tobias Vincent Maguire, also known as Tobey celebrates his birthday today. The American actor and producer is well known for his character as Peter Parker (Spider-Man) in the hit movies 'Spider-Man', 'Spider-Man One' and 'Spider-Man Two'.

Born in Santa Monica, California, Tobey had to keep travelling places to stay with each parent. He wanted to take up home economics class as a sixth grader but instead his mother offered him U.S. $100 to take up acting classes and he agreed.

Maguire's first appearance in a feature film was in 1989's 'The Wizard'. He also featured in a number of television shows starring opposite Chuck Norris, Roseanne Barr and Tracey Ullman.

Tobey is married to actress Jennifer Meyer, who he met at the shooting of 'Seabiscuit. The couple have a daughter Ruby Sweetheart Maguire and son Otis Tobias Maguire.
