Pamela Anderson wants drugs legalised

15th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Pamela Anderson wants all drugs to be legalised in America.

The actress is renowned for her outspoken views, and is a staunch campaigner for animal rights. In 2008, she revealed she had written to Barack Obama, who started his US presidency in January 2009, asking him to allow cannabis to be legal.

She has now revealed she actually wants all laws which prohibit drugs to be repealed, and has penned a note to the American president asking him to consider the move.

I sent a letter to Obama, who I think is a great president, asking him to liberalise all of them, she said on an Italian talk show. I think people would use fewer drugs if they were legal.

In her 2008 letter, Pamela insisted legalising marijuana would have a positive impact in America. She explained the country would be safer, adding it would stop corruption.

I think we should legalise Marijuana, tax and monitor - farm Hemp etc. - this would make our borders less corrupt and then I think eventually this will be more secure option and save children in the long run we should be able to farm Hemp in America - its just silly, she wrote.

Pamela also discussed her upcoming Playboy cover, which will be her 11th in 22 years. The 43-year-old is proud to be gracing the pages of the adult publication again, and had a great time shooting the pictures. In them, she is seen cavorting in a pool nude in reference to 1960 movie La Dolce Vita.

I had fun, she said, adding she never looks at her other Playboy pictures. (C) Cover Media
