(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paris Hilton reportedly "distracted" a DJ so much she was asked to leave the stage on New Year's Eve.

The hotel heiress is rumoured to be dating producer DJ Afrojack, although so far the pair have maintained they are just good friends. They spent December 31 together in Miami, where Afrojack was playing at Wet at the W South Beach hotel.

Paris took to the stage to welcome in the New Year with the DJ real name Nick van de Wall but New York Post claims she was soon asked to join the rest of the crowd.

"Paris Hilton was kicked off DJ Afrojack's stage on New Year's Eve because she was too distracting' for him," the publication reports.

However, the star's representative insists there is a simple explanation for the request.

"It was hot, so she went to change her dress. The manager helped her down off the stage," the spokesperson explained.

The pair stopped off for dinner before Afrojack's set, where they seemed very happy in each other's company. They ate at The Dutch restaurant, where they surprised onlookers with their canoodling.

"Hilton and Afrojack sat next to each other, holding hands and stealing kisses throughout dinner," an insider told MailOnline.

Paris took to Twitter to discuss how enjoyable her night had been. It ended with a party thrown by P. Diddy.

The star's fun didn't stop there yesterday she told fans she's been introducing her parents to Afrojack's music.

"Having the best time at @XSLasVegas with my dad & @KathyHilton dancing to @DJAfrojack! My parents now offically love #HouseMusic! #Yes (sic)!" she wrote. (C) Cover Media
