(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Police have reportedly been called to Paris Hilton’s house after she caught a man with “two knives” trying to break in.

The 28-year-old hotel heiress posted a message about the attempted burglary on the internet in the early hours of this morning local time. She said she had been woken up by an armed man trying to get into her home.

She called the police, who attended the Los Angeles property and allegedly arrested the suspect.

"So scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes. Cops are here arresting," she wrote on her Twitter page at 7:19 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

She also posted an image taken through some glass doors that appeared to show several police handcuffing a man wearing jeans and a long-sleeved grey shirt with his back to the camera.

This isn't the first time someone has tried to rob the socialite. In December 2008 burglars stole $2 million in jewellery from her Hollywood Hills residence. Paris wasn’t home at the time of that robbery. (C) Cover Media
