Robert Pattinson's friends "don't want to see him hurt again."

The Twilight actor was devastated to learn that his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheated on him with filmmaker Rupert Sanders.

The pair have reportedly reconciled recently and are rumoured to be living with each other once again.

Robert's milieu are concerned for his emotional welfare.

"Rob was completely heartbroken and was saying there was no way he could ever forgive her," a source told People magazine.

"But not speaking to someone that you thought was your end all, be all, is clearly harder than he expected.

"[His friends] don't want to see him hurt again. But it's easier said than done."

Apparently Robert's pals want him to take it easy for a while.

They believe that more time he spends apart from Kristen would do him well.

"[His friends] keep telling him he needs some time and space, but they all think they will be a couple again, maybe as soon as they are together for the [The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2] promos [in November]," the insider said.
