(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paul Bettany had to fight pillows in his new movie Priest.

The film tells the story of a religious man who flouts church law by going to hunt down vampires who killed his niece.

In the movie Paul plays the character of the Priest, who is involved in lengthy, action-packed, vampire battle scenes.

However, the clashes required an extraordinary leap of imagination for Paul because he was actually just fighting stuffed pillows on the set.

He admitted finding the task very challenging. "A lot of the vampires that I killed in this were actually pillows, which was a little humiliating," Paul explained. "At the time I was fighting them they were pillows. It's hard to look butch and stab a pillow in mid-air."

However, the actor is confident the duelling will look effective on screen.

The film is directed by Scott Charles Stewart and also stars Stephen Moyer and Maggie Q. (C) Cover Media
