(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Javier Bardem and Penlope Cruz have welcomed their first child together.

According to Spanish newspaper El Pas, the 36-year-old actress gave birth at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. It is believed Penlope delivered a son.

Sources told website X17 that Penlope arrived at hospital to give birth on Monday. The newborns name is yet to be announced.

Penlope and 41-year-old Javier announced they had married in an intimate ceremony in the Bahamas back in July last year. The pair have been in a relationship since 2007, although they first met in 1992.

Penlope first unveiled a baby bump while shooting her role in upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in Puerto Rico last September.

The Spanish actress has previously described Javier as a great friend, although both stars are famously reticent to discuss their private life.

In other celebrity baby news, former boxing star Mike Tyson has become a father for the eighth time. According to Radar, he and wife Lakiha Spicer Tyson welcomed a little boy on Tuesday. (C) Cover Media
