As soon as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy reports broke out, everyone started sending in their congratulatory messages to the Bachchan family but the pleasant news called for some emergency meetings for the producers of Aishwarya's upcoming films. After Madhur Bhandarkar shortened his film 'Heroine's schedule for his leading lady, it is now Raj Kumar Santoshi's turn to make the needful changes.

Santoshi had cast Abhishek and Aishwarya in his rom-com 'Ladies and Gentleman' but now that he has learnt about the 'good news', he says that nothing more is important than her child. It is now assumed that the mommy-to-be will be replaced by another actress and the search for the suitable one has commenced.

Reportedly, Abhishek's close girl pal Preity Zinta may be approached for the film as their on-screen chemistry in their last film 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' was praised, despite the fact that their film bombed miserably. Looking at Preity's current career status, she would be more than ready to fit in Aishwarya's shoes, to revive her down trodden career. Other names like that of Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have also bee suggested.
