From the past three years Salman Khan has been giving back to back hits on the eve of Eid consecutively. It started with 'Wanted', followed by 'Dabangg' and then 'Bodyguard'; all of which released on Id-ul-fitr every year.
And now this year on the eve of Eid, he is coming with 'Ek Tha Tiger', his first film with Yash Raj and also his first with Katrina after their break up in 2010, which makes it extensively special.
Citing the hype and strong buzz around the film, it has 90% penetration in screening schemes as the distributors have bought the maximum screens for its release.
Multiplex and theatre owners who have allotted 90% screen share to 'Ek Tha Tiger' are all set to cash in the moolah as they have decided to hike the ticket price for the very film.
The film is scheduled to release on August 15 and citing the dual festive occasion of Eid and Independence Day, most multiplexes have decided to hike the ticket prices by as much as 12-16%.
They justify their act by the fact that films like 'Ek Tha Tiger' are released on festive seasons for vested interests and as it is a premium product, the hike is totally justified as people too are ready to shell out a few extra bucks for a Salman film.
The market is heavily banking on the film as there is a huge hype and pressure on the film to be at par expectations.
