Britain's Prince Harry is looking for love, but admits the pressures of marrying into the royal family can be off-putting.

The 27-year-old gave a candid interview to US broadcaster CBS News to mark the end of his ten-day tour to the Caribbean and Brazil to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Prince Harry claims the royal title doesn't work in his favour when it comes to women.

"No, not at all. As any girl would ever tell you," he replied when asked if the fairytale royal love story lived up to the hype.

"It's sort of, 'Oh my God, he's a prince'. But no. The job that it entails - I mean look at me, I'm 27 years old, and not so much searching for someone to fulfil the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on."

Prince Harry didn't ignore the fact that both he and older brother Prince William are very fortunate though.

"We are very privileged in the position that we are, but, you know, with privilege comes great responsibility is what they say. And the title that we have before our name, what effect that can have on a country on a charity or whatever. We are slowly coming to terms with and accepting the fact that the name can make a huge difference therefore, you know, you've got to use it," he explained.

Although he is at ease with his duties, he still wishes for anonymity in his life at times. But Prince Harry takes his responsibilities very seriously.

"There's a lot of times that both myself and my brother wish, obviously, that we were just completely normal," he admitted.

"We've been born into this position and therefore we'll do what we need to do to people and to kids that need it. It really is that simple for us."

Prince Harry's long-term relationship with Chelsy Davy ended in 2009 after five years together.

The 26-year-old admitted that she didn't want official duties to carry out for the rest of her life.
