Her dust to dawn story is an inspiring tale which can inspire others to work hard for their dreams. From winning the 'Miss World' crown, to the National Award for her performance in 'Fashion', Priyanka Chopra has been there done that.
The actress who is clearly one of the leading youth icons of the nation was recently invited to speak her mind and interact with the next generation at India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2012. And PC did much more than encouraging the young minds. She revealed that people will always try to pull you down but it is upto you to rise to the apex.
"I had no godfather in the film industry, yet I went on to win a national award for Fashion, despite people telling me not to do the movie," said Priyanka.
She who has been a former beauty queen still feels that she isn't conventionally beautiful but yet is happy to be at her place, "I am not the prettiest of all, I am not Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It's okay to be different. You don't have to fit in always," added Priyanka asking the youth to be happy with what they've got.
When asked to point out the pros and cons of the industry, she came up with a fierce reply, "The best part about being in this industry is the support that I get from my fans and the worst part of this industry is the gossip-hunger media," added PC.
