October 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Model turned Bollywood actor Purab Kohli, who was hosting Zee TVs popular reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar this season has opted out because of some prior commitments.

In a statement, Purab was quoted saying that he is leaving the show due to his prior commitments to movies. It is very unfortunate that he will not be able to give enough time to the show, Kohli added.

This Friday, Purab will be seen hosting the show for the last time. Another experienced host Manish Paul, who has been seen hosting many other shows in television, will take over the job now. Manish has earlier hosted Zee TVs Dance India Dance Lil Masters and Ghar Ghar Mein along with Vipul Roy.

Purab came to the public view primarily after his performance in the movie Rock On. The VJ turned actor said that he is leaving the show with lots of fantastic memories.

He was quoted saying that hosting the show was like a dream come true for him because it is the same platform that has given popularity to popular singers like Sonu Niigaam and Shaan.

Purab added that he will remain grateful to the channel for giving him such a wonderful opportunity, even though, he did not have any musical background. He further added that he will probably continue to be the host of the show in the next season.
