Radhika Apte to star opposite 'Castle' fame Stana Katic

After the success of R. Balki's 'Padman', Radhika Apte has been roped in for an international project, a period flick revolving around World War 2. Surprisingly, Radhika will star opposite Canadian-American film and television actress Stana Katic popularly known for her work as Agent Emily Byrne in ABC television romantic crime series Castle (2009–2016).

This project also features Sarah Megan from the 2016 film Equity. The film has Radhika and Stana Katic as a real-life spy who played an important part of Winston Churchill's 'Secret Army'. Moreover, the movie revolves around the real-life story of British intelligence officer Vera Atkins, played by Katic, and the two women she sends to France as spies, Khan (Apte) and Virginia Hall (Thomas). The character of Stana Katic has an ulterior motive of her own besides carrying out the mission assigned to her by her bosses, while Sara Meghan Thomas' character is a brave American woman with a wooden leg, who ultimately comes to be feared by the Nazis.

Radhika will play Noor Inayat Khan, a pacifist of Indian descent who was the first female wireless operator. Talking about her involvement in Digital content Radhika said, 'I do not take up roles based on the platform. It is the content and the artists associated with it that matters the most to me."
