Even before the release of 'Soundtrack', critically acclaimed actor Rajeev Khandelwal had claimed that playing a disc jockey in his recently released film was not as easy as it appeared. However it is only now that he explained the nitty-gritty of his preparations for the role. He revealed that he is overwhelmed to receive such a positive response for his character and the film from the audience as well as the critics especially because he worked really hard for the film. He had undergone a seven weeks crash-course and also went to many discotheques along with his director Neerav Ghosh.

Being associated with music throughout the shooting of the film has developed a penchant for music in Rajeev’s mind and heart. He jokingly admitted that he might randomly also take up Disc jockeying at any party, as he wouldn’t mind to take the reel role to real life.

He further stated that he can't claim to be a professional DJ but he knows the art to fit beats into a loop and mix two songs really well. So the next time you see Rajeev taking up the job of a DJ, don’t be surprised as music is just the next thing on his mind.
