It is Akshay Kumar's debut down south but more importantly, it is Thalaivar Rajinikanth who makes things even more interesting. Everyone is waiting to get a glimpse of this Shankar directorial Sci-fi '2.0' and the makers were about to give away its official teaser on the Independence Day but some sources suggest that the film's post-production work didn't let them meet the deadline.

Now the makers confirmed that they are all set to release the film's teaser on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi that falls on Thursday 13th September and the news has just raised the excitement meter among the fans. Reports suggest that Rajnikanth proposed the idea of not releasing the film's teaser during the devastating condition of Kerela.

Speaking about the teaser launch Shankar said, "Rajinikanth asked me not to publish the teaser at this time when the Kerala people are in a dilemma. So, the Teaser launch ceremony was postponed."

He, however, shared that the teaser will be out on September 13, 2018, which is the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi. He added, "Also, 2.O teaser will be released on September 13th, Vinayagar Chaturthi." Moreover, in the film, Akshay is reportedly playing a villain in the film whereas Amy Jackson is the leading lady. As of now, Akki is enjoying the success of Reema Kagti's 'Gold'. Along with him, the film also starred Mouni Roy in the lead role. The actor will be next seen in 'Housefull 4' and 'Kesari'.
