A Special screening of Showman filmmaker Raj Kapoor's classic film 'Awara' was organized by a national radio channel as a part of their initiative to appreciate the golden moments of Indian Cinema. 

The screening of the classic film witnessed the attendance of many stars amongst which were also present Kapoor brothers Randhir and Rajiv. They revealed that in an age of remakes some were planning to revive 'Awara' but the idea was however dropped. 

According to the Kapoor duo, the makers realized that it would be wrong on their part to play with a classic & hence, they dropped the idea. 

When probed about whom they consider the modern 'Awara' to be, pat came the name of their heir Ranbir Kapoor. "Undoubtedly, Ranbir Kapoor (laughs) Hum ne ek bomb chhoda hai," said the Kapoor brothers with pride. 

While there's no doubt that Ranbir is carrying out the legacy with great success, we just love the modern 'Awara' as much as we loved the cult 'Awara'.
