Actor Ranbir Kapoor has been doing very well with his acting career, hence now the star has decided to multi-task with production too. It is heard that Ranbir will be co-producing the film 'Bombay Velvet' with Anurag Kashyap and Phantom Productions.

When Ranbir was contacted about the same he said, "Innovative content excites me and I believe the Phantom team is a pioneer at it. This seems to be the perfect time in my career to take up bigger ownership of a film and be a producer."

Ranbir came to this decision just recently. Since the film is made on a very big budget and it also happens to be an epic story, Ranbir's inputs to this script is much more than an actor's.

'Bombay Velvet' is a story that talks about the city around the 1950s and 1960s when it became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and music. The film also stars Anushka Sharma in the female lead.
