Post a power packed role in 'Mardaani', bong beauty Rani Mukerji has been approached for another thrilling project. Buzz is that Rani might portray the character of Haseena Patkar, Dawood Ibrahim's younger sister in Apoorva Lakhia's next.

Simply titled as 'Haseena', the film is expected to go on floors by November. A source close to Apoorva said, "Till late last year, Apoorva was in touch with Haseena and her family. He wants to ensure that every detail is right. He himself spent a lot of time with Haseena to understand the complexities of her life."

The source further adds, "Apoorva believes that Rani will do complete justice to the role. She can pull off the part with confidence and aplomb, which is why he zeroed down on her."

To learn the nuances of the character, Apoorva has chalked out a few workshops for his actors. Talking about Haseena, she came to the spotlight post her husband Ismail Patkar's murder by Arun Gawli's gang in 1991. 

With biopics tasting success at the box office, Rani too had expressed her desire to star in one of it. So will she give a nod to it? Let's wait and see.
