(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The American actress, who is famous for her roles in Legally Blond and Walk The Line, celebrated the prestigious event with her two children, Ava, 11, and Deacon, seven, who joined her for photographs on Hollywood Boulevard yesterday. The 2006 Oscar winner was also accompanied by her agent boyfriend Jim Toth on the special day.

Reese has claimed the 2,435th star to be handed out, leaving her thrilled.

She wore a red polka-dot dress and heels to receive the honour, and was seen laughing and joking with her loved ones. In one picture, her kids joined her as she crouched down and touched her star.

The 34-year-old recently discussed her career, explaining she believes she will hold her weight as an actress as she gets older because she has a good sense of humour, which will never grow old.

Theres always going to be somebody younger or sexier, the actress told the January edition of Glamour magazine. Thats why I like to say, and its become my famous line, Funny doesnt sag.

She also opened up about her private life. The actress is divorced from actor Ryan Philippe and dated Jake Gyllenhaal, who she split from in 2009. Now she is enjoying being with someone who is not a thespian but who still appreciates the demands of her industry.

What Im finding out is that its very comfortable to be with somebody who understands my career, but doesnt do what I do. Hes a great guy. Hes wonderful, she said. (C) Cover Media
