(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon thinks the global obsession with her co-star Robert Pattinson is abnormal.

While she finds the British heartthrob "cute", the actress has admitted being baffled by the hysteria that breaks out amongst women of all ages when they spot the hunk.

Robert is best known for playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, the role many of his fans are particularly keen on, and Reese is amazed by how overzealous some of his admirers are.

"I have never seen anything like what he is experiencing. And it's global," Reese said.

"And it's not just young women. I have seen women in their forties screaming his name from outside the set, pushed against the fence."

The 35-year-old said that despite his international success, Robert has stayed grounded and was a pleasure to work with on movie Water For Elephants. The two got on well and shooting the release was a lot of fun.

"He is really cute and that's the way it is. He is thoughtful, discreet and very shy. We had a blast the whole time while shooting,"she told the French edition of Glamour. (C) Cover Media
