Richa takes tips from real-life Kabaddi players for 'Panga'

Richa Chadda who has played diverse roles onscreen is set to explore an unexplored character in her career. The actress will play sportperson in her upcoming film titled 'Panga'. This Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's directorial venture is based on the sport 'Kabaddi' where Richa will portray a Kabaddi player onscreen. 'Panga' stars actress Kangana Ranaut as the female lead. Both the actresses are getting trained from the real life Kabaddi players for the flick.

Richa is currently shooting for the second schedule and as she does that she taking tips from the players to make her character look as real as possible onscreen. While interacting with the media, she said, "I have been training in Mumbai with a few players and coaches. However I was traveling to a lot of towns like Raipur Ranchi and and meeting these local players was extremely helpful. These guys have an amazing insight and experience to know the sport which helped a lot for my prep."

She further added, "I was traveling to these places for personal work and I happened to find ways to meet women Kabbadi players in this city, spent time with them and spoke to them to know more about the sport."

Richa travelled to Chandigarh, Patna and Ranchi when she met local athletes to learn the nuances of the game and players body-language; and also learnt how their techniques are poles apart from one another when they are on the field.
